RIDE: The Book is a beautifully designed iBook with 80 pages and 116 photographs that traces the development of the equestrian dance performance work, RIDE, over the past twelve years.
RIDE, the dances with horses, has had many incarnations over the years, including film, aerial performance and most recently benefit performances in support of equine protection and sanctuary and educational programs for children and adults.
RIDE: The Book is divided into sections: the original RIDE performances on Marthas Vineyard; Pony Dances, the six year collaboration with trainer and breeder Sarah Hollis of Tintagel Andalucians and her brilliant liberty horse Escorial; In the Woods, a video dance collaboration with filmmaker Ellen Sebring; and finally, benefit performances for Horses Helping Horses our program for the support of equine protection, rescue and sanctuary. The photographs show both rehearsals and performances.
Photographs are by Pam White and Jeffrey Anderson.
